Conclui-se que a adoção da IA no Judiciário exige não apenas inovação tecnológica, mas também um forte aparato de governança, controle institucional e participação social.Palavras-chave: inteligência artificial; Poder Judiciário; triagem processual; ética digital; eficiência.A bstract: This study aims to analyze the limits and possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) in screening and prioritizing proceedings in the Brazilian Judiciary. First, it discusses the expansion of AI in the justice system, highlighting the automation of repetitive tasks and the procedural management optimization intended to enhance efficiency and reduce delays. It then identifies the legal and ethical risks arising from the implementation of automated systems, such as algorithmic bias, violations of the principle of isonomy, the lack of individualization of judicial decisions, and the opacity of applied models. The methodology adopted is based on a literature review, quantitative data analysis, and normative examination of international resolutions and guidelines. The research addresses the criteria required for the responsible use of AI, including algorithmic transparency, continuous human oversight, impact assessments and the technical and legal accountability of systems. This quantitative and qualitative study shows that the use of AI can contribute significantly to improving judicial efficiency, provided it operates under an ethical and legal framework committed to fundamental rights, legal certainty, and the democratic legitimacy of automated decisions.
